Wounded Warrior Project/Jimmy Buffett Night with the Binghamton Senators

First the news that everyone wants to know: Cash received $1935.83

Sponsor Donations 900.00

Event income total: 2835.83

Speaking as one who has been involved with the POTS since it's first beginnings, I can unequivocally say that this was our most successful fund raising effort so far.

Starting with the formation of the committee until the band played it's last a few minutes after 11:00 PM on Feb. 6^th , the event ran as smooth as any we've ever presented. We also experienced a couple of phenomenon that were entirely new. Brian Davern from our band, the Susquehanna Rum Runners, brought sponsors in, KHM graciously stepped up in a big way, as did BS Quarries and a mom of a Marine who gave us a nice donation at the event. All the sponsors will be formally thanked for their participation.

Tina Corbin is the newest addition to the POTS. This was her first meeting of most of us. She donated her artistry as a face painter. Tina alone brought $153.83 to the WWP fundraiser. When you run into Tina at future meetings please thank her for her huge effort. I understand that she worked non-stop all evening and even missed her dinner. Tina, you have no idea how much we appreciate your hard work and dedication to your new Parrot Head Phriends and our year's biggest effort.

Brian and the Susquehanna Rum Runners: Your music and your presence was a huge benefit to our effort. Krista (Arena event coordinator) told Meg that she had never seen such a large crowd in the The Arena Club. Many, many guest, told me how much they enjoyed your 'Trop Rock' music, and several wanted to know where they could see you again. They told me that it's good to see this form of music being played in Binghamton. I told them to watch for our event announcements and your notices in the newspaper. We hope you'll keep playing trop rock and stay a part of our future efforts.

The MEMBERS! Wow, what a turnout of club members! _31 members and Keets came out to help and support the event. There was enough help for every part of the event, so that it ran smoothly and stress free. Thank you, thank you, thank you, POTS dedicated Pirates. POTS turned out nearly 90% of our membership.

There'll be information on FaceBook, and possibly some video of the band playing one of our favorites, if I can figure that out. Check the Pirates of the Susquehanna FaceBook page. It's always a good place to go to see what the members and the club is up to. Go there frequently!
